When they ask if you can be unbiased, tell 'em sure, as long as it's not a crime involving violence against women, or murder, or kids. Or... well, fill in a couple of blanks. The defense will veto you out of hand for prejudice.

I dunno, from what news I've seen lately, tons of prejudice in juries gets past the selection process.

It's not foolproof? But they're supposed to take only the least outwardly prejudiced people, so if you lay some stuff right out there, they're pretty much obligated to tell you to take a hike.

Or, hey, tell them you don't drive and can't get to the courthouse.

My Inner Superman is just telling me to do it.

And I know he's going to chime in here any minute, and tell me it's part of my duty as an American Citizen, and that my position on the Justice League doesn't put me above that duty.

Oh god, and the Talks are even working before they already happen.

...dammit. I've got serving jury duty.

Well, it was really just a matter of time before the Outer Superman told you the same thing. Maybe this way you can skip the lecture. And who knows - you might not get chosen to serve anyway.

Yeah, well, being raised by a Superman means there's usually a little Super-angel on my shoulder giving me solid, moral advice.

I'm better at ignoring him when he's like "don't smash that wall, Karen" or "don't punch that guy so hard Karen, making comments about your body doesn't make him more resiliant to punching" but this time I couldn't really argue, and I know the guilt hits like an ice cream headache.
At least, by what Atlee tells me from her unfortunate experience at the all you can eat sundae bar.

I don't think you can actually be charged for passing out pamphlets on jury nullification.

You can definitely be escorted out by security, though.
